Cast: Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, Tom Hollander, Hugh Bonneville, Diana Rigg, Ed Speleers
Andy Serkis’s feature directorial debut stars Andrew Garfield (Hacksaw Ridge) and Claire Foy (The Crown) in an inspirational true story. Adventurous and charismatic, Robin Cavendish (Garfield) has his whole life ahead of him when he is paralysed by polio in Africa. Against all advice, his wife (Foy) brings him home from hospital where her devotion and determination transcends his disability. A profoundly moving celebration of courage, based on the true story of producer Jonathan Cavendish’s own parents and featuring Hugh Bonneville, Stephen Mangan and Diana Rigg, Breathe shows how Robin’s handling of his illness had huge impact on mobility and access for the disabled.
