Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen shine in Long Shot, a very sweet, very funny, critically acclaimed romantic comedy that generates considerable tenderness from its odd couple premise. Secretary of State Charlotte (Theron) used to be Fred’s (Rogen) babysitter. When they unexpectedly reconnect, the scruffy, self-deprecating journalist charms her with his memories of her youthful idealism, and as Charlotte prepares to run for President (to replace a terrible incumbent – satirically played by Bob Odenkirk), she impulsively hires him as her speechwriter. Fred is unprepared for her public lifestyle, but sparks fly as their chemistry – and a series of unexpected incidents – leads to romance.
