Spielberg’s fantastical new sci-fi adventure is based on Ernest Cline’s international bestseller and stars Tye Sheridan, Mark Rylance and Ben Mendelsohn. In 2045: humanity is on the brink of chaos and collapse, finding salvation only in the OASIS, an expansive virtual world created by brilliant, eccentric James Halliday (Rylance). When Halliday dies, he leaves his fortune to the first person who finds a digital Easter egg hidden somewhere inside the OASIS, sparking a contest that grips the entire world – including an unlikely young hero named Wade Watts (Sheridan) who finds himself hurled into a reality-bending treasure hunt through a universe of mystery, discovery and danger.
