Dir: David Lowery | USA | 2018 | 93 mins
Cast | Robert Redford, Casey Affleck, Sissy Spacek, Danny Glover, Tom Waits

Robert Redford will surely garner an Oscar nomination for his sly, gloriously charismatic performance – allegedly his final one and perhaps the best of his career – in David Lowery’s (A Ghost Story) tremendously enjoyable drama. Based on a true story, it follows sixty-something bank robber Forrest (Redford), who despite his age, and multiple spells in jail, remains committed to carrying out his unusually respectful heists. Enjoying a peripatetic romance with Jewel (Sissy Spacek) and aided by accomplices (played by Danny Glover and Tom Waits), the law nevertheless continues to loom on his horizon – this time in the form of Detective John Hunt (Casey Affleck).

The screening on Tues 1st Dec will be shown with subtitles projected onto the screen for the hearing impaired, and these are signified by the symbol S/T on the website and in our monthly brochure. Please note all other screenings of these films are without subtitles.
