Cast: Jessica Chastain, Johan Heldenbergh, Daniel Brühl, Michael McElhatton

Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain stars in the beautifully filmed wartime drama from Niki Caro (director of the vastly acclaimed Whale Rider), based on an incredibly moving true story. The time is 1939, the setting Poland, where poet Antonina Zabinski (Chastain) and her husband, Jan are running the Warsaw Zoo when their country is invaded by the Nazis, forcing them to report to the Third Reich’s newly appointed chief zoologist. As the city is destroyed around them, they start working with the Resistance to try and help the Jews otherwise destined for the Warsaw Ghetto – while ultimately endangering their own lives.
