Woody Allen’s (Annie Hall, Manhattan) latest, set during the 1930s golden age of Hollywood, is a glittering, effortless romantic comedy. Wide-eyed young New Yorker Bobby (Jesse Eisenberg) heads to L. A.,
dreaming of an exciting career in cinema. Landing a job with his uncle Phil (Steve Carell), an agent, he’s introduced to Hollywood glamour, and meets Phil’s beautiful young assistant Vonnie (Kristen Stewart).
