Dir: Lili Fini Zanuck | UK | 2017 | 128 mins | Documentary

Directed by Oscar-winner Lili Fini Zanuck (Rush, Driving Miss Daisy), this documentary is an unflinching, deeply personal look into the only ever three-time inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and winner of 18 Grammys, Eric Clapton; within whose artistic and personal evolution lies tragedy as well as triumph.

Tracing his 50-year career, Clapton reflects candidly on how he channelled his life experiences into music and pursued his craft to the point of isolation; while via an extensive archive of performances, home movies and audio interviews with friends including Steve Winwood and the late George Harrison – we’re
given a moving sense of what inspires the legendary musician.
