After moving to a small town, teenager Zach is happy to meet his beautiful neighbour Hannah but alarmed to find her mysterious father is R. L. Stine (Jack Black), author of the bestselling ‘Goosebumps’ pop-horror series. It turns out there’s a reason Stine’s such a weirdo – he’s a literal prisoner of his own imagination: the monsters from his books are real! And when Zach unintentionally unleashes them from their manuscripts and they begin terrorising the town, it’s up to Stine, Zach, and Hannah to put them back where they belong. Mixing live-action and computer animation with horror comedy, it’s a nostalgic, imaginative adventure.
