From acclaimed filmmaker David Gordon Green (All the Real Girls, George Washington) comes the brooding, brilliant Joe; a study of masculinity under duress. Nicolas Cage stars as Joe Ransom, a hot-tempered hard drinker with failed marriages, abandoned children and troubled relationships behind him. But despite his irresponsibility, when he comes across 15-year-old Gary (Tye Sheridan – Mud), whose father (Gary Poulter, who sadly died before the film’s release) is an abusive alcoholic, Joe finds himself taking a keen, and fiercely protective interest in the boy which could either lead to redemption, or violent ruin.
