Rose Byrne, Ethan Hawke and Chris O’Dowd star in this funny, charming adaptation of the Nick Hornby novel. In an English seaside town, Annie (Byrne) is in a long-term relationship with Duncan (O’Dowd). He’s an obsessive fan of obscure rocker Tucker Crowe (Hawke), she’s not so sure, and wishes he was more interested in moving their relationship on. But when the acoustic demo of Tucker’s hit record from 25 years ago surfaces, its release leads to Annie having a life-changing encounter with the elusive rocker himself. A comic, touching account of life’s second chances with a standout performance from Byrne.
