“I’m still just trying to make sense of the world.”
Sixteen years after the release of Rivers and Tides, director Thomas Riedelsheimer revisits the renowned British sculptor, land artist and environmentalist Andy Goldsworthy. Following Andy as he explores the world around him and the impact of years of experience on himself and his art, he watches as Goldsworthy begins to introduce his own body into the work; making it at once more fragile and personal and also sterner and tougher. Riedelsheimer’s exquisite film illuminates the mind of one of Britain’s most beloved and singular artists as he grapples with time and the surprising and inspiring natural world.
