Dirs. David Morris & Jacqui Morris, UK, 2013, 95 mins
Detailing the life and work of acclaimed war photographer Don McCullin, Jacqui and David Morris’ documentary film shows the truth behind McCullin’s hard hitting and controversial images. Working at a critical time in global photojournalism, he witnessed the change of ethos to publishing and editorial freedom for newspapers to print what they wanted, free from constraints of advertisers, and created some of the twentieth-century’s most iconic images of man’s inhumanity to man.
‘A terrific and fitting tribute to one of modern history’s greatest eyewitnesses.’ – Simon Crook, Empire ****
