Mrs Lowry & Son + Looking at Lowry with Timothy Spall:

Featuring an exclusive post-film gallery talk from the Lowry Centre at Salford Quays where Timothy Spall will be discussing L.S. Lowry’s life and art with Lowry expert Claire Stewart.

Dir: Adrian Noble | UK | 2019 | 91 mins for film plus 25 mins for talk
Cast: Vanessa Redgrave, Timothy Spall, Stephen Lord, David Schaal, Wendy Morgan, Michael Keogh

Beloved British artist L.S. Lowry (Timothy Spall) lived all his life with his over-bearing mother Elizabeth (Vanessa Redgrave). Bed-ridden and bitter, Elizabeth actively tried to dissuade her bachelor son from pursuing his artistic ambitions, whilst never failing to voice her opinion at what a disappointment he was to her.

Parent and Baby screening on Tuesday 17th September: Please note this screening is only for parents and their babies. With the lights turned up a little (and the sound down a notch or two), we will help to create a stress-free environment exclusively for parents and guardians to enjoy films with their babies, aged under 12 months.

All times listed are the programme start time unless otherwise stated. Films start approx 30 mins after the programme start time.
