|Tues 26th November||7.45pm|
Dir. David Bond, UK, 2013, 83 mins
David Bond, Michael Depledge, Susan Greenfield, Jay Griffiths
Filmmaker David Bond is a worried man. His kids’ waking hours are dominated by a cacophony of marketing, and a screen dependence threatening to turn them into glassy-eyed zombies. Like city kids everywhere, they spend way too much time indoors – not like it was back in his day. He decides it’s time to get back to nature – literally. Project Wild Thing is a film led movement to get more kids (and their folks!) outside and reconnecting with nature. The film is an ambitious, feature-length documentary that takes a funny and revealing look at a complex issue, the increasingly disparate connection between children and nature.
This screening is kindly sponsored by Gullsedge who will be present at the Picture House from 7:15pm
