Cast: Adan Jodorowsky, Brontis Jodorowsky, Leandro Taub
Legendary cult filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky (The Holy Mountain, El Topo) reimagines his youth spent as an aspiring poet in the surreal and endlessly inventive Endless Poetry. In 1940s Santiago de Chile, 20-year-old “Alejandrito” Jodorowsky vows to become a poet against his disciplinarian father’s will. Leaving home, he arrives in the inner circle of the artistic and intellectual avant-garde, meeting writers including Enrique Lihn, Stella Diaz and Nicanor Parra, the eventual masters of Latin America’s contemporary literature. Continuing the autobiographical exploration begun in The Dance of Reality, Endless Poetry is a euphoric portrayal of the artistic life told through Jodorowsky’s dreamlike, kaleidoscopic visual language.
