Lily James leads an all-star British cast including Matthew Goode, Tom Courtney and Penelope Wilton in Mike Newell’s (Four Weddings and a Funeral) wistful, nostalgic and thoroughly romantic adaptation of Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows’ acclaimed period novel. After WWII, young writer Juliet (Lily) unexpectedly begins a correspondence with members of the ‘Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society’, with them sharing their experiences of the island’s Nazi occupation. Newly inspired, Juliet arrives on Guernsey to visit and perhaps write about them – making lifelong friends and considering potentially life-changing steps along the way.
