Winner of the audience award at Edinburgh this year, this profoundly moving documentary is a portrait of the singularly respected, much-loved politician Tony Benn – the longest serving Labour MP in history – who died earlier this year. Featuring intimate interviews with Benn and extensive archive footage exploring his work in Parliament, TV interviews and inspiring speeches on the stump, as well as family photographs and testimony, this is a frank, unusually candid study of a very singular figure in UK politics – famously one of the only MPs to leave office more left-wing than when they started.
