Verity’s Summer is the haunting debut feature from Palme D’Or nominated British writer/director, Ben Crowe. Two people make their way to a quiet town on the wild Northumberland coast. Sixteen year-old Verity is coming home from boarding school; Castle is a drifter, an ex-soldier cut loose after tours of Iraq. When a dead body washes up on the coast, Verity’s dad is tasked with leading the investigation, having had experience in training Iraqi police. The investigation will lead to secrets being revealed that will force Verity to find a new path.
