This heartfelt period drama is based on a true story. During World War II, 12-year-old Tom (Art Parkinson, Game of Thrones) accompanies his vet father to Belfast Zoo each day, until his father is called up and Tom himself must care for the animals including Buster the elephant, with whom he forms a particular bond. But as air raids loom and their safety is threatened, Tom hatches a plan to save Buster the elephant, collaborating with a group of misfit friends and eccentric animal lover Denise (Penelope Wilton). Touching and inspiring, this story is a reminder that friendship and heroism can come from unlikely places.
