Making plans for February Half Term?

Join us for a feast of family friendly entertainment including live broadcasts, weekday and weekend matinees. See below for all our holiday screening dates and times.

Into The Woods (PG)
Friday 13th, Saturday 14th & Monday 16th at 1.30pm
Sunday 15th at 1.00pm
Tuesday 17th at 10.30am (Parent & Baby)
Tuesday 17th & Thursday 19th at 2.00pm
Wednesday 18th at 7.45pm

Adapted from the Tony Award-winning Stephen Sondheim musical, it takes its lead from the Grimm Brother’s fairy tales, including Cinderella, Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood, but re-imagines the characters – making them not modern exactly, but certainly much more complex than their archetypal literary selves and capable of humour, ambiguity and bad behaviour. With excellent performances – both dramatic and sung – from Streep, Kendrick et al, it’s a joyful, witty and supremely enjoyable film.

National Theatre Live Presents Treasure Island (Encore) (10+)
Wednesday 18th at 2.00pm (Doors 1.30pm)

Robert Louis Stevenson’s story of murder, money and mutiny is brought to life in a thrilling new stage adaptation by Bryony Lavery, presented by the National Theatre. It’s a dark, stormy night. The stars are out. Jim, the inn-keeper’s granddaughter, opens the door to a terrifying stranger. At the old sailor’s feet sits a huge sea-chest, full of secrets. Jim invites him in – and her dangerous voyage begins.

Paddington (PG)
Friday 20th at 1.30pm
A young bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw), originally from Peru with a passion for all things British, travels to London in search of a home. Lost and alone at Paddington Station, he is saved by the friendly Brown family, including Mr. Brown (Hugh Bonneville), who read the label around his neck reading “Please look after this bear” and take him under their wing. Fantastic animation and a stellar cast, including Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Michael Gambon and Peter Capaldi, Paddington is a real treat.

Peppa Pig and the Golden Boots (U)
Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd at 1.30pm
Watch Peppa make her big-screen debut with this hour-long feast of snorty family entertainment. The centrepiece is the lovable porker’s very first 15 minute special episode: Peppa’s favourite hobby is jumping into puddles so naturally, she’s looking forward to the big Puddle Jump Competition – but calamity strikes when she can’t find her boots!

Enjoy!
